Picture the scene, it’s a friend or family members special day, and you want to get them a special gift. So you google with the best term you can, and after a few minutes of searching, you emerge feeling not terribly victorious or inspired.

See, everyone has a story. A few awkward and funny moments. The ones they enjoy telling you about over and over at fun gatherings…
What if these moments- and them- could be forever immortalised in a song.

Around 30 years ago a group of friends used to wait until one of their group had a fail with a girl (they didn’t have long to wait), or a car (even less time to wait) and would record a parody song (changing the lyrics of a chart tune – sorry Duran Duran), and play them the result on a cassette tape (doesn’t that date it), generally in the car (where the fail most likely happened) to all his mates (without the girl most likely as that ship had sailed- hence the song).
Then through the twists and turns of life, two of that number re-met a few years back, and reminisced, and the idea popped that we could write and perform funny songs, with a wider appeal than a few of our mates.
